In 2010, I recently returned from deployment with VMFA-323 Death Rattlers (Marines F-18 Squadron) and my fellow Marines decided to introduce me to my life-long passion of Disc Golfing. I found myself playing past sundown and into the twilight of the night. Working all day and playing disc golf afterward is a race against the sunset. Discs (frisbees for the newbies) that require light charging is needed to continue playing. The only problem is that the glow discs take a lot of effort to charge the element with a flashlight and loses the stored light faster than it takes to energize the equipment. Then if the players weren't tired enough from circling the light on the disc, the player would have to wait to be about to get their night vision back. Disc Golf players are a rare-breed of athlete that will play through any environment to get that next throw in. "The struggle is real"!
From the frustration of the loss of daylight and empowering players to play beyond the day, sparked the concept of the Glo Gear Element Charging Carrier (BAG) in 2010. I have spent seven years since engineering solutions to extend play into the night and now I have built the first generation of charging units called The GGE Charging Carrier (Bag).
The GGE Charging Carrier (Bag) is a light source that charges multiple glow discs at the same time while players continue playing with fully charged glow discs at the ready. The GGE Charging Carrier (Bag) will charge all the discs by designing it with the top of the line, high-powered LED UV lights for up to, and beyond 6 hours of continuous use at over 90% efficiency. I have included, at my company's expense, LiCB 18650 Li-ion rechargeable batteries with your purchase. The batteries can be charged directly from the GGE Charging Carrier (Bag) with a micro USB cable (not included) that comes with just about every electrical device in your home. The GGE Charging Carrier (Bag) will have an on/off switch and a power disruptor that will cut power to the lights to prolong battery power but most importantly, preserve the athlete's night vision during play. I have taken a huge loss over a three-year span holding back production of the Glo Gear Element Charging Carrier (Bag) to the market so that I could introduce this Quality product that every athlete would be proud to add to their arsenal at the lowest cost I could negotiate.
